When you need to charge both your Powerbeats Pro 2 earbuds and their charging case, place the earbuds in the case and connect the case to a power source with a USB-C cable. Or charge your earbuds and case wirelessly by correctly placing the case – with earbuds placed properly inside – on a Qi-compatible charger. You can also charge the case separately without the earbuds, either via USB-C or wirelessly. (Note: USB-C cable and power adapter sold separately.)

How do I turn them on and off?

Powerbeats Pro 2 automatically power on when they are removed from the case and power off when placed back in the case with the lid closed.

Can you control your music?

On Apple devices, you can activate Siri hands-free by saying “Hey Siri” or just “Siri”. Or change the function of the “b” button to activate your voice assistant within your iOS settings. On Android, download the Beats app to change the press-and-hold function of the “b” button to activate the default voice assistant on your device. Voice assistant access via the “b” button can be customised on one or both of your earbuds.

Can I control what the “b” button does?

Yes. You can configure the press-and-hold function of the “b” button on one or both of your earbuds to either toggle listening modes (Active Noise Cancelling, Transparency mode and Adaptive EQ) or to activate voice assistant. Gym equipment that enables heart-rate monitoring
You must be wearing both earbuds to use the heart-rate monitoring feature. To start a heart-rate monitoring session on fitness equipment, make sure Powerbeats Pro 2 are connected via Bluetooth in the “Heart Rate” section. Then, make sure that “Heart Rate” tracking is toggled on in device settings. Note that you will need to connect via Bluetooth to the fitness equipment for heart-rate monitoring, which is separate from the audio connection.

Once I’ve set up heart-rate monitoring, how do I use it to track my heart rate?

After you’ve set up heart-rate monitoring in your iOS device and in a compatible fitness app, Powerbeats Pro 2 will automatically begin tracking your heart rate when you start a workout in your compatible fitness app, as long as you’re not also using another heart-rate monitoring-enabled device for this feature (e.g. Apple Watch). Ending your workout session in the third-party fitness app will automatically stop Powerbeats Pro 2’s heart-rate monitoring feature. After your workout, you can see your heart-rate data in your Health app or in your third-party fitness app, if applicable.

Android
You must be wearing both earbuds to use the heart-rate monitoring feature. To begin heart-rate monitoring, activate a heart-rate monitoring session either via your Beats app for Android or by pressing the “b” button twice and holding on the second press. Then start a workout in your third-party fitness app. Ending your workout session in the third-party fitness app will automatically stop Powerbeats Pro 2’s heart-rate monitoring feature. After your workout, you can see your heart-rate data in your relevant third-party fitness app’s history only. Data recording and history are unique to each platform.

If you use Powerbeats Pro 2 with an iOS device and have connected with fitness equipment via Bluetooth, activate heart-rate monitoring by pressing the “b” button on either earbud twice and holding on the second press. Note that if you connect Powerbeats Pro 2 to fitness equipment, you cannot simultaneously connect them to an iOS device for audio and you must use the equipment itself for audio to be played through Powerbeats Pro 2.
